Would fully agree with all the positive comments about these great apartments. Had a really enjoyable weeks holiday. Good quiet location but within easy walking distance to village and beach . Will definitely return.

the christina is a real home from home as all of mastihari and indeed kos, it is the first country i have ever been where the locals are genuinely your friends wether or not you spend your money with them, any one who has been to mastihari will fully understand what i am saying. as for pepe costa there partners and parents and staff they are the nicest and friendliest people one could meet. i have been to kos four times and always stayed here. the family are constantly developing this accomodation to make it better and better! the cleanliness off all rooms new and old is fabulous well done to the cleaning staff!i want to make my home here in the coming years as the people of this country are truly amazing welcoming people!!!! well done pepe, costa, and everybody else. love you all thanks x

Advice: fabulous peaceful resort ideal for a lazy hot holiday, still only a taxi away if you want more.

I booked a cheap package here, and had a great time. The room was spotlessly clean and kept so by the lovely Eleni. The bed was comfortable and the sheets of good quality. The apartments are conveniently placed, with the beach, bars, supermarket and tavernas being within an easy short walk. There isn’t a pool here, although one can use the nearby Luis pool. Costas, who checked me in, is a friendly, helpful and efficient guy, and his young son is often on breakfast duty with him, always ready with a smile. I will go back to the Cirillo if I visit Kos again and want a simple, quiet time. It is only 25 euros or so to the airport, the internet access reliable, if not particularly ‘safe’. (I had no issue, but my tech kept declaring that the net access was ‘dangerous’). There are a number of pcs in the bar area and one can print off boarding cards with ease.

This was our first time at the Christina, we were met on arrival and shown to apartment 8. What a fantastic suprise, a very modern bathroom, new kitchen and a very large bedroom. Patio doors plus insect screens on the balcony looking over the garden and to the sea. The apartment was kept spotless by Eleni the cleaning lady. The gardens and all the public areas were lovely. A must is the Greek night and BBQ, the food and entertainment were first class. We enjoyed our stay and Mastihari that much we are coming back in October.
We can highly recommend the breakfast as well.

We stayed here for 4 weeks May/June 2019, and found this to be one of the best apartments we have had in all our many trips to the Greek islands. The complex itself was well maintained ,very clean and all rooms furnished to a high standard .Ours was no5 which was overlooking fields with the sea in the distance. The shower room was very modern for Greece and there was always hot water. The beds were reasonably ok and were changed regularly along with the towels. The friendly Elaini looked after the room cleaning and was always around with a smile and a chat..Air con available if needed and there was mosquito nets on all doors and windows…..Very handy..Wifi was free in all rooms and was even available on the beach ,which was a 5 minute walk away. The complex is well managed by very friendly and helpful brothers Pepe and Kostas..Kostas provides a good breakfast until 11.30 and Pepe manages the rest including very good sunbeds on the beach for 6 euros per day..The Tuesday BBQ is a must with very good food and Greek dancing. It is a great evening and everyone joins in…During our stay we met a lot of very nice people and found that many return again and again…We can understand why they do……….

As a family of 11, we stayed for 2 weeks and found the hotel really nice and friendly. Can’t believe it’s listed only as 2 star as it is a very clean modern hotel – one of the best studio apartments we have stayed at in Greece. Elena the cleaner is lovely and provided us with a toaster for our stay. The BBQ was good with some greek dancing, they do like you to be involved so be warned if its not your cup of tea. We would have a few drinks in the evening and I can highly recommend the cranberry cooler. My other half loved the hibiscus flowers.

Shame there is no pool but some of our party used the Luis Pool and the Half Way pool which was closer to the hotel. neither pool is far from the hotel. Myself and my partner went to the beach every day which is about 10 min walk – perfectly easy walk if you are of good mobility. However, my father in law is not so good on his feet and the walk back is uphill so he did struggle a bit. Light Blue Restaurant (nice food) was great as the owner George drove him home after eating there. And also Top Gear motorcycle hire, we hired a moped for a couple of days and they also drove my father in law back to the apartment on occasion.

Mastichari beach is nice and not very busy at all. We used the sunbeds at Akrogiali and Saloon bar which were free if you ate at them. We didn’t use our hotel sunbeds which were 6 euros. We did the 3 island boat trip and my advice is don’t bother. I felt like we were just tourist cattle. you are dumped at Kalymnos for an hour and then Pserimos – nothing at this island. the best bit was swimming off Plati. the boat bbq was poor.

All in all, Mastichari is a nice low key resort. the trips aren’t brilliant so are you best off hiring a car and doing your own exploring.

Big thanks to Pepe, Costa, Festina and Elena for making our stay so enjoyable.

if you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday this is where you need to be. i spent two weeks with a friend in one of the christina studios and they were kept very clean. we were self catering and the kitchenette was equipped with what we needed although we did find that it was as cheap if not cheaper to eat out rather than cook. you must try a greek gyros from either kennys or harama they were only 2 euros each, very tasty! christina apartments are run by brothers pepe and costa. these guys are great! very welcoming and good fun at the bar in the evenings. theres a cleaning lady called elena who is around during the day and she is lovely you can ask her for anything and nothing is too much trouble! the beach is lush and its true that you can actually leave your bags by your loungers and have a drink or lunch. you have to try a salad at the horizon bar for lunch they fill you up for the whole day. i have no complaints about my holiday whatsoever, the locals were all really friendly they made the effort to speak to us daily. we now know them all by their first names and are keeping in touch with most of them.

Advice: peaceful, tranquil, relaxing, friendly and wonderful i am definately going back!
Activities: el greco is worth a visit as is harama restaurant and horizon bar and kennys

We visited the Christina apartments in September and have booked again for May 09 ( says it all really ) We had a fantastic time, Pepe, Kostas and Christina were lovely and made us feel really welcome. Mastihari is lovely , quiet but with enough choice of restaurants and bars so you can choose somewhere different to eat every night if you wanted. We liked The Traditional House best. The apartments are about a 5/10 minute walk from the village and beach and the Half time bar with a large pool is even nearer. We had one of our best and most relaxing holidays here and would recommend the Christina ( Cirillo Hotel ) to anyone.
